Country song book for the classic country lover!

I bought this book for my husband - a classic country music lover and a guitar "picker". He was spent hours enjoying this book. I have anjoyed listening to him develop new skills and being serenaded. If you love classic country - you should buy this one. The chords are not for the stark beginner, but are still simple enough for those that are not highly accomplished. I love that it shows as well as names the chords, so if you don't know that chord you can easily figure it out.

Beginner book? Maybe.

This book is not for basic beginners although, it does show all the chords and how they're made. I consider myself a beginner and there are a few songs that I have no problems playing. From cover to cover it is loaded with great country songs. It also shows the picking tabs for each song and I have a lot of fun with those also. I would recommend this book to any guitar player who enjoys the older country classics. As others have previously mentioned, a spiral binding would be a great improvement.

Great book, lots of songs

This book is loaded with familiar country Classics. I am trying to learn to play the ukulele and I found this song book very helpful. Being a beginner, is was a great book for me or any other beginner. It will work equally well for the guitar. And just because I'm a beginner doesn't make it solely a beginners book. Anyone at any level can use this songbook.

Peter S. Fader is the Frances and Pei-Yuan Chia Professor of Marketing at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. An unnecessarily long preach

Given Fader's reputation and extensive research work, I eagerly bought and went through the book only to come away completely disappointed with the lack of contents in it. To begin with, there is a lot of repetition in the book and the whole thing could have been written in 10 pages without any loss of content. The main technical message seems to be that customer lifetime value (CLV) must be computed after proper customer segmentation exercises, since customers are a heterogenous mix. Duh. On the more important question of _how_ we might actually compute CLVs in practice, we were referred to a paper on the author's home page, which isn't even publicly available!! I'm a practitioner faced with the challenge of helping my clients become more customer centric, and I'm sad to say I learned not one new thing from this book.

A serviceable and efficient look at why customer- centric marketing has value in today's competitive environment. I do wish, like some of the other reviewers, Fader had spent more time on the math behind CLV.

Know the concept but don't really understand what all the fuss is about...

Customer Centricity is one of those much talked about, almost much hyped, business concepts, that has been around a long time, but somehow has not really found it's place in most businesses.
Sure customers are important, but most organizations focus on the money. What they fail to see is that there is a better way to make more money. And that is by being Customer Centric.
This book offers some insight into what this really means for a company. Why you should - or should not - strive to become more customer centric, and it offers some useful, practical advice on how to move forward.
It does not answer all the questions you may have, and it does not give you a roadmap for implementation but if you need help getting folks in your company to better understand why this concept could be critical to the organisations' success in the future, maybe, just maybe this will help.

A second set of four chapters addresses some important research problems in mul- hop wireless networks, with a special emphasis on the problems of routing. The following three papers deal with recent advances in the field of data mana- ment and area coverage in sensor networks, while a fourth set of chapters deals with mobility and context-aware services. The fifth set of chapters contains new works in the area of Internet delivery and switching systems. The following chapters of the QShine part of the volume are devoted to papers in the areas of resource management in wireless networks, overlay, P2P and SOA arc- tectures. Some works also deal with the optimization of quality of service and energy consumption in WLAN and sensor networks and on the design of a mobility support in mesh networks.

This book constitutes the proceedings of two conferences: The 6th International ICST Conference on Heterogeneous Networking for Quality, Reliability, Security and Robustness (QShine 2009) and the 3rd International ICST Workshop on Advanced Architectures and Algorithms for Internet DElivery and Applications (AAA-IDWEA 2009).

QShine is a very successfull series of conferences providing an international forum for the discussion and sharing of new research ideas on the design and implementation of Quality of Service (QoS) in heterogeneous wireless and wireline networks. The 19 papers presented at the conference were selected from 40 paper submissions. In addition to this 25 papers from leading researchers working in related fields are presented. The conference is organized in 11 technical sessions covering IP telephony and multimedia, mesh networks, mobility and heterogeneous wireless networks.

AAA-IDEA comprises 7 papers that cover a variety of topics such as architectures and algorithms for content and service delivery, energy-aware networks, QoE in media streaming as well as support for mobile and wireless systems.

A Fantastic Look Into The Personal Life of Jimmy Page

I'll start off by saying I am a massive Led Zeppelin fan. Jimmy Page is the reason I started playing guitar and I have nothing but the utmost respect for the man.
I originally thought this book would be an in depth and personal view on his life and career. I'm happy to say I was wrong but oh so very right too. Instead of Mr. Page writing about himself, the vast majority of the book is filled with pictures that span from his early childhood until late 2008 or so. Jimmy will give context as to what is going on in a series of pictures but the real story is the pictures themselves, the majority of which I had never seen before. Each page was a joy to look at and I think the book made a much bigger impact by allowing us to live through Page via these pictures than the written word ever could.
If you're a Led Zeppelin or Jimmy Page fan you owe it to yourself to pick this book up. The book itself is very high quality too, the hardcover feels great and the individual pages are thick and have a great feeling to them as well.

Amazing Visual History of Jimmy Page, Alpha to Omega

I was quite stunned when the delivery man arrived today with this package. Imagine my happiness when I opened it to discover the much awaited (ordered several months ago) Jimmy Page tome. This was more than I expected, pictures and notes from the very beginning of Jimmy's venture into the musical world (St. Barnabas Church, Epsom), the early adventures with NC & the Crusaders, Yardbirds, Led-Zeppelin, the Firm and beyond. The imagery from the beginning to the end is exhaustive and stunning. I am quite amazed by the great array of photographs that I've never seen before and even happier to have them annotated by the man who was there at the moment. Jimmy Page: Guitar God, Rock Icon, Cultural Phenomenon and still the most influential guitarist of all time. Thank You Jimmy for this compilation.

Massive book!

This book is beautifully done. Jimmy really went all out on the scale. It's massive! The interior layout has loads of large photos. The textured cover and solid binding are also an added plus. I especially like the look of the gold etched ZoSo symbols on the covers. It's well worth the cost. I'd definitely recommend it to any Page fan. You won't be disappointed.
