Chartreux are amazing, intelligent & loving cats

I was hoping to find out more, specifically about the breed, since I have owned one, and am getting a rescue male, as well as a kitten in the spring. There is lots of info, but most of it can be found on the web. There is also lots of non breed specific info on cats, some of which I never knew.
I have owned several cats, dogs & birds. I worked as a veterinary assistant during my high school days, and been around animals for practically my whole life. Chartreux are amazing, intelligent & loving cats. Very devoted to their owners. You won't go wrong with this breed if you are considering one. Just be sure to get quality blood lines.

I've taken training courses and had books from those courses in the past. I was getting close to taking a state exam and needed additional info. I purchased hearing aid dispensing training manual and learned more about the hands on aspect of dispensing in one weekend than anything else that I've had through courses or purchased elsewhere. (I've been reading and studying those books for over a year). The knowledge and experience that is presented in this text is exceptional. Hearing Aid Training

I've trained with two Audiologist and purchased a few books for my Hearing Instrument License and was struggling with masking but this book opened my eyes and was very helpful and explained step by step in basic terminology. Another positive are the examples from patients complaining and to fitting issues that I seen on my written exam. I'm a very hands on type of learner and I benefitted a lot on the Practical training section/script. I highly recommend this book!!!

Excellent Material

I purchased this book while studying for my Hearing Instrument License. I worked out of a couple other books also, but this one was much easier to understand and relate to. There were also little tricks that made me stand out in a positive way compared to others that were also testing. I would highly recommend this book to anyone trying to get licensed and needing a more step-by-step approach to having a successful test.

You can read this whole book in about an hour. This young lady Is beautiful and alluring. I just wish there were more facts about her, a lot of writings about Maria is speculation, some good and some not so good. You be the judge. Don't believe all you read but yet believe all you read that is good.

The first half is great, containing some good historical facts pertaining to Maria Orsic and the Vril symbol. The second half is hit or miss as I am not sure how much I believe in the medium of Joel Tucker, who is introduced as a medium in contact with the late Maria Orsic.

This Book Sucks the Laughter from Your Body

First of all... as an Amazonian (woman who buys way too many books) I'm always suspicious of the first couple of reviews if they're really good. They could be written by friends who don't want the author sleeping on their couch anymore; or people being blackmailed by the author to say something good or the details of that lost weekend in high school will be his/her next book (videos on Youtube); or the 5-starred reviewers are related to the writer.

I am not Ben Nesvig's mother. I am a real reader. This is a very funny book. Really.

I would write more except I have to go eat a couple of ice cream sandwhiches because the 3-minute microwave pizza burned the roof of my mouth.

Five stars for laugh-out-loud-literature. I eagerly await the 3-D movie.

A great relatable read

The book was so fun to read and I read it in one sitting! I was like a crazy person laughing out loud to myself. With the food issues and the annoyance with hotel beds I found myself cracking up and wanting to share with friends.

Ben's sarcastic tone a-la David Sedaris was refreshing to read. I usually read more crime thrillers and this book was a welcome change to the books I usually read.

Thanks for a great read and for making me feel better about all the times I complain about my iPhone battery dying and my iced tea being too caffeinated and all the other first world problems I complain about ruining my life!

Incredible read, just not in public.

I made the mistake of reading this during my daily commutes in NYC. I would laugh, out loud, in that busting-out-of-your-throat-hey-look-at-me-i'm-laughing-at-something-hilarious-while-you're-complaining-about-your-commute kind of laugh. On that first bus ride, I quietly turned off my kindle and hid my face in my scarf while trying to not laugh. By the time I got on the train, I didn't care. I was laughing like a mad person. I mean it's NYC ... crazy people are EVERYWHERE! Ben Nesvig's observations are things we all have thought at one time or another but never had the foresight to put them in a book.

EVERYONE should read this book. EVERYONE. I say, everyone who has read it, just grab your neighbors kindle and download it for them. They might be upset at first but I'm sure they will thank you later. Besides, if they didn't want you to download it, why would they keep their login information saved on their device?
